We're looking for a QA tester/analyst to join our Halifax-based team and help us improve the quality and stability of our computer vision solution for retail.
Job Duties
● The right candidate will be responsible to assist in planning, preparing and primarily support automation of testing of our hardware/software solutions.
● Install the software and configure testbed in preparation for testing.
● Execute and analyze results of testings using automation tools, including tools for test data creation and maintenance, test execution, and other options.
● Prepare documentation for the testing plans, testing process and results for the technical team to improve product usability and reliability
● Identify, report, track and propose solutions to product defects.


We're looking for someone who:

● Have relevant experience of 3-5 years in the IT testing environment and as an automation tester.
● Works closely with the product team to understand requirements and identify design gaps.
● Executes functional tests on our product, finds bugs, documents them, and communicate them in a clear, effective manner.
● Works with the support team to trap and reproduce bugs our customers are experiencing.
● Has QA experience testing web applications, ideally in a startup/SaaS environment.
● Has solid knowledge of QA best practices, HTML, CSS, Javascript and HTTP and testing across multiple browsers and devices.
Required Skills
● Proven skills in software testing and the use of testing tools such as Java + Selenium
● Proven experience in developing, maintaining and executing test automation scripts in a test automation framework
● Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst is required
● Demonstrated excellent communication skills including working as part of a diverse team with fast-moving priorities.
● A College Diploma or equivalency is required.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, 35 hours a week
$35,000-45,000 per year
